Rights of Way Search Officer - Highways Services            

£7,188 - £7,327 per annum

14.8 hours per week

This role is based within the Highway Services group and provides an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to help manage the Council’s Public Rights of Way records.

We are seeking a suitably experienced person to join our Rights of Way team to assist the Council in fulfilling its statutory responsibilities for maintaining, developing and promoting the Definitive Map for Bridgend for the benefit and enjoyment of the whole community.

With excellent organisational skills and a committed approach to customer service provision, you will be required to provide accurate responses to rights of way questions raised as part of the Local Land Charge Search enquiry process, and advise other officers, stakeholders and the public on public rights of way records matters.

The role will require knowledge of rights of way, public path and modification order procedures in order to contribute to the maintenance of the Public Rights of Way records for Bridgend. You will support officers and partner organisations and help to develop the service to meet customer needs.

Excellent communication and good map reading skills, experience of dealing with onsite queries and preparing relevant reports will be essential, as will the ability to prioritise and focus on objectives.
