More about the role:

Central Bedfordshire Council seeks value for money from all of their contracts, the Highways Quantity Surveyor is an important member of the team driving continuous improvement.

Through agreement of target costs under the NEC3 Term Service form of contract, the Quantity Surveyor is central to agreement of the Price List and new rates.

You will agree target costs with the Service Provider, agree new Prices within the Price List, update our ordering systems with the latest uplifts to prices, work with client teams on commercial matters and assist with applications for payment.

Educated to HNC/Degree level with experience of the NEC3 form of contract and understanding of target costing, compensation events and schedules of rates. Your experience of working with multidisciplinary teams will be an advantage whilst negotiation on commercial matters and having the ability to explain contract information to differing audiences is essential.

You will use your great communication skills by assisting our client teams in making the right commercial decisions.
