Ealing is one of London’s most successful boroughs at attracting new developments and regenerating its housing stock. With more ambitious plans in the pipeline, the council is looking to recruit a new Executive Director of Regeneration & Housing to help the borough reach even greater heights.

Well connected

Ealing’s population is the third highest in London, with 378,000 residents projected by 2025.

Just 15 minutes to Heathrow the borough has extensive transport links via road and rail. Soon Ealing will have five new Crossrail stations, with HS2 further strengthening the borough’s transport network This places Ealing very much at the heart of pan-London transportation and development plans, changing the way business and residents will consider the borough.

High stakes – and an even higher profile

You’ll be expected to work closely with the Chief Executive and the Leader; cementing progress and ensuring that residents are at the heart of all of our plans.

Permission for 1,800 new homes has been granted, with 52% of these affordable. You’ll ensure all our developments generate better outcomes both for residents and local businesses. Not simply homes and buildings, but places that will improve employment, education, wellbeing and skills. Seeing the big picture is vital. With more than £5 billion of investment already underway in Ealing, you must have the knowledge and credibility to deal with the sector’s biggest movers and shakers.

Strategic thinking to the fore

This challenge calls for in-depth regeneration knowledge and a strategic approach. With vision and high-level expertise, there’ll be the opportunity to manage a high-profile portfolio as well as contribute to Future Ealing, the council’s major transformation programme.
